Classification: Political > Rioting and disorder
Recording date: 8 August 2011
Description: Onlookers talk excitedly as a group of young women with scarfs wrapped around their faces loot an Iceland frozen food store. A brief riot a short while earlier had emptied Rye Lane of traffic and much of its length was cordoned off by police.
Technical guff: Headworn stereo. 2 x Shure WL-183 mics and Edirol R09-HR recorder.
Recorded by: IM Rawes
Additional notes: This recording has been awkwardly shoehorned into the 'Political' section because that's where the 'Rioting and disorder' subsection is.
