Successor

LAST YEAR saw the release of the London Sound Survey’s second LP Thames on Iain Chambers’ Persistence of Sound label. The album got good reviews and in turn led to BBC Radio 3 commissioning a half-hour broadcast for their Slow Radio series.

On the site, the London Loop series of recordings was added and the Street Cries of the World library continued to grow. More could have been done, but overall it doesn’t feel like a bad note on which to end the London Sound Survey’s development for the time being.

This year is going to mark a change of direction with work beginning on a new website project. It will be a couple of years before I have enough material to warrant making it publicly accessible. In the meantime, activity on this site will be limited mostly to adding some historical materials, tidying up, and maintenance. I will keep checking emails and the Guestbook, so do please drop me a line.
