Rubbing the Unity Stone 1:05

Description: The recordist, who doesn't speak, and two other men rub the smooth top of the Unity Stone sound sculpture, a slender 1.5-metre-high black granite column with a square cross-section. The upper half was divided by two vertical slots into four equal-sized sections. A deep resonant drone is produced. The sculpture appeared as part of Jamie Reid's 'The Ragged Kingdom' exhibition off City Road.
