London's demographics explored by processing 2011 Census data with a statistical sorting method called cluster analysis. Attention is then focused on the sounds of the 12 archetypal council wards emerging from the study.

Highest for directors/senior officials and technical occupations, Other Whites, Chinese and Other Ethnicities populations, roads, domestic and non-domestic buildings as a proportion of land area, and private renting. Second highest for flats and conversions. Lowest for mortgages, whole terraced houses, administrative, skilled trades, caring/leisure, sales, process and elementary occupations, and Caribbean population. Second lowest for green space as a proportion of land area, detached and semi-detached houses, and Pakistani population.
